The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 are two of the most awaited devices in the market.

Now the question is: which of the two is better, especially in terms of design?

Based from rumors about the devices, below are some of the comparisons of the two devices:

Design

According to GottaBeMobile, the Lumia 950 XL is expected to have a polycarbonate white or black body like the Lumia 640 and Lumia 735.

"The Lumia 950 XL is a amalgamation of every hardware design Microsoft Mobile/Nokia has done in the past," said the same report.

Microsoft seems to be planning on adding aluminium buttons to the device to have a "high-end flare."

"The Lumia 950 XL sounds like it'll be solid, but also not as interesting as Apple's latest design," said GottaBeMobile.

Meanwhile, Computer World said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 "shares the Galaxy S6's handsome metal-and-glass design, though it has slightly sharper corners," based from leaks of the device.

It also added that the Note 5 will also have the same specifications as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

"The image confirms what we have already seen, more than once, of both devices. They'll have the same screen size, at 5.7" with a 2K resolution, and will likely be decked with an Exynos processor (though there's a rumor the S6 Edge Plus may run a Snapdragon)," Computer World added.

Internal features

GottaBeMobile said that the upcoming Lumia phone will hava an octacore Snapdragon 910 processor and 3GB of RAM.

For additional storage, the device is also believed to come with and SD card slot to store photos taken by the PureView 20 megapixel camera with triple flash also rumored to come with the device.

"The 5.7-inch OLED display reportedly has a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels," added GottaBeMobile.

The Note 5, on the other hand, is claimed to have the Exynos 7420 processor with 4 GB of RAM. Forbes explained that the device will have an Android 5.1.1 and a 16-megapixel camera.

Release Date

It is believed that the Lumia 950 XL will be announced at the IFA 2015 this coming September.

The Note 5 is expected to arrive by mid-August and is set to go against upcoming Apple releases, especially the iPhone 6 Plus scheduled to come out by September this year.

Price

The Samsung tablet is said to cost around $1000 while the Lumia 950 XL will reportedly have a $650 price tag.

Given the specification of these devices, users will have a difficult time picking between the two.
