Android Lollipop updates are in store for LG, HTC, and Samsung users.

Listed below are the devices getting OS upgrades.

LG

Gospel Herald reported that updates are in store for the LG G4, LG G3, and LG G2 supported by carriers like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile.

According to a report from Tech Times, there are no plans to initiate an Android 5.1.1 update in the newest version of LG's flagship phone, and will instead head straight to Android M.

A report from Gotta Be Mobile, however, claimed that there's a chance that the LG G4 will get the Android 5.1.1 update in order to fix some of Android 5.1's bugs. It is also likely that the LG G3 will go straight to Android M instead of getting Android 5.1.1.

Android Authority reported about a new update with the label VS98524B, or simply 24B. The upgrade isn't the Android 5.1 or 5.1.1, but it comes with new features such as the Bluetooth button attached to the in-call screen. The update also allows users to turn off the notification scan, except for priority mode for important messages and events.

HTC One M9

AT&T's HTC One M9 runs using Android 5.0, but the device is bound to have the Android 5.1 update beginning on July 15, TechnoBuffalo reported.

"HTC One (M9) AT&T Owners! We have received technical approval on Lollipop OS 5.1 which includes camera improvements," HTC's Mo Versi said on Twitter. "OTA to start on 7/15!!"

Samsung Galaxy Note

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge users with the Sprint carrier are also getting the Android 5.1 update, Christianity Daily reported. The network carrier did not release a description of the upgrade's features, but rest assured that the Galaxy Note Edge will have noteworthy improvements and enhancements.

Sprint's support page indicated that the OS update was released on July 13, and that users will be notified of its availability via a notification. Afterwards, they will be given on-screen instructions about the upgrade's download and installation process.

The latest version of Android Lollipop comes with new features, including redesigned and animated icons in the Quick Settings menu, Android Central wrote. The update also has a new screen pinning feature, allowing authorized users to pin specific apps so other users will not be able to access them. Bug fixes and Device Protection are included in the update as well.

Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6

T-Mobile network carrier is also prepping up to unveil the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 version for Samsung's Galaxy S5 and S6, Yibada wrote. The upgrade will fix various issues, such as battery drainage, device heating, and camera LED flashlight.
