Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus & S6 Edge Plus Release Date: Specs, Features, Price & Everything We Know So Far [Rumors]

Samsung's Galaxy S6 Plus and S6 Edge Plus are rolling out in the market soon.

Here's what users should expect from the two devices. Some of these information are not yet been confirmed by Samsung.

Design & Display

The Galaxy S6 Plus will come in at 5.5 inches with a resolution display of 1080 x 1920 pixels, GSM Arena reported. The smartphone has a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and comes in white pearl and black sapphire color options.

Android Authority wrote that the device's design is almost like the Galaxy S6 Edge, except when it comes to the minor changes on the bottom microphone to the left of the USB port. The handset is said to come in at 5.4 inches, 5.5 inches, or 5.7 inches.

Processor, OS, & Memory Storage

The Galaxy S6 Plus will be powered by Android Lollipop 5.0.2 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, with Dual-core Cortex-A57 and quad-core Cortex-A53 as its CPU and Adreno 418 as its GPU, GSM Arena noted. The handset will have 32 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of RAM.

Android Authority claimed that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will run using the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 along with a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core CPU. The handset is expected to have 32 GB of memory storage and 3,000 mAh battery as well.

Camera & Other Features

As for its camera, the Galaxy S6 Plus is said to have a 16 MP primary shooter with autofocus and LED flash. A 5 MP front camera is included as well, with a video recorder capable of shooting at 2160p at 30fps, GSM Arena added.

Android Authority wrote that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be equipped with a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 5 MP front shooter for taking selfies, just like the Galaxy S6 Plus.

Price & Release Date

The Galaxy S6 Plus is said to be released either in July, August, or early September, Bidness ETC wrote. PC Advisor speculated that the smartphone will be priced around $1099.

According to Phandroid, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will likely be released at the IFA 2015 in Berlin in September along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. An estimated price for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is yet to be had.

Android Authority describes the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus as the product which will mark Samsung's first "mainstream flagship phablet." The device will provide users a more accessible smartphone "without the extra bells and whistles (and at times, bulk)" of the Note series, the news outlet explained.
