The flagship war between Apple and Samsung continues as the South Korean brand will try to outmatch their American competitors' recent release, the iPhone 6 Plus, with its own Galaxy S7.

We pit the devices' specs, design, display, camera, and features to see which is better.Samsung has yet to release the official specs of the Galaxy S7, so we will use its projected specs.

Features

As previously reported, rumor has it that the new S7 will include an iris recognition technology. Now that consumers are using the internet to get updates and news, the new S7 will look to cater the need for faster mobile browsing by integrating a 5G network band. This will outpace other smartphone brands that only offers 4G network band.

Meanwhile, the new iPhone 6 Plus wireless LAN is at Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, hotspot, but still falls under 4G network band. Other iPhone 6 Plus features include Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer

Display and Size

The Galaxy S7 is expected to have a crystal-clear 4k Super AMOLED display as the South Korean brand is integrating 4K resolution technology into its products.

The iPhone 6 Plus, meanwhile, will have a LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display. It will have a 5.5-inch screen with 1080x1920-pixel resolution.

Specifications and Operating System

The Samsung Galaxy S7 specs are projected to be powered by a 64-bit Exynos 3.5 GHz processor and will include 4GB of RAM. Samsung is expected to let buyers choose between 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB internal memory. It is also likely that the device will be powered by Android OS.

The iPhone 6 Plus is powered by iOS 8 that is upgradable to iOS 8.4, an Apple A8 chipset, a Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based) CPU, and a PowerVR GX6450 (quad-core graphics) GPU.

Camera

The Galaxy S7 is expected to have a 30-megapixel rear camera, and a 10MP front camera.

According to GSMarena, the iPhone 6 Plus camera is 8MP with image resolutions of up to3264 x 2448 pixels, optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, and check quality.

Techtimes reported that Samsung's next flagship phone might arrive as early as second half of 2015, and may coincide with the release of Samsung Galaxy Note 5. There are no indications on how much the Galaxy S7 will cost.

Meanwhile, iPhone 6 Plus is sold at $299.
