Samsung fans should be prepared for some bad news as the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S7 may not come out within the year.

A recent MobileBurn report said that the company has disproved reports that their Galaxy S7 flagship will come out by the second half of this year.

The site added that since the Samsung Galaxy S6 has just been released in March, it may not be likely that the company will follow it up with another installment during the same year.

"The company remains committed to launching products in pre-determined launch windows, which includes the S series," the Samsung marketing team said.

In explaining the statement, AndroidGuys said that Samsung's Galaxy S devices are usually released during the first quarter of the year.

With this statement from Samsung, fans are now expecting that an updated version of the recently released Galaxy S6 will be announced to go head to head with an anticipated iPhone release before the year ends.

When it eventually becomes available in the market, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is believed to come with a 5.5-inch 4K Super AMOLED display, as per TechTimes.

The high-end device will also reportedly be equipped with a 5G network for faster browsing and better phone performance.

In addition, TechTimes said the Galaxy S7 may also come with a 4GB RAM and will be powered by a 64-bit Exynos 3.5 GHz processor. For storage, the device could come with 32, 64, 128GB variants.

Those who love to take photos with their cellular phones, the S7 could be a perfect device for you since it is rumored to have a 30MP rear camera and 10MP front camera.

"It will also have a new camera feature dubbed 'gigapixel' that will allow the user to capture images with more accuracy and clarity. Lastly, the new Galaxy S7 will have the so-called 'infrared sensor,' which can measure body temperature with impressive accuracy," added TechTimes.

There were also earlier rumors that the Galaxy S7 will run in the latest operating system from Google, Android M, which is set to have a full release before the year ends.

The Verge said one of the major highlights of the device is "a redesigned apps permissions system," where users can either approve or deny a phone's security permission.

Under the upcoming platform, Google will also bring in a new Web browsing experience through Chrome.

"A new feature called 'Chrome Custom Tabs' lets developers insert webviews directly in their apps, giving them the full power of Chrome without having to force the user to switch apps. Chrome features like automatic sign-in, saved passwords, autofill, and multi-process security are all now available to app developers within their apps," explained The Verge.

As for its price, TechTimes said that it will be a bit different from the tag of its predecessor. It was noted that the 32GB variant of the upcoming release could be pegged around $999 maybe because of the enhancements expected to come in the device.
