Reports confirmed on Tuesday that Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo have gone separate ways after staying in a committed relationship for two years.

Us Weekly has recently revealed that the "Love Bug" crooner and his long-time girlfriend have broken up in the wake of rumors claiming that there is "trouble in paradise" after the couple went to New York for work but stayed in separate hotels.

Last week, fans noticed how the photogenic duo were not seen together for nearly a month. The last time they were spotted together was on May 17 at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.

While it is not usually a big deal for Hollywood couples not to be seen in public, E! Online noted how these two had been generous to their fans with their public display of affection during private vacations and outings.

Prior to their breakup, the young Jonas brother and his Miss Universe girlfriend had stayed together no matter where they were headed, be it attending a friend's wedding, going on a vacation, or shooting a music video.

An insider told the entertainment news outlet how the couple's split had been "a sensitive matter" because they allegedly still love each other "and only want the best for one another."

"The long distance and ups and downs have been weighing on the two of them lately and it has not been easy but they know this is the best decision for them at this time," the source added, noting how the relationship had been burnt out by the distance between them.

Jonas even shared how he felt about their long distance relationship with ABC News' show Entertainment Pop, saying: "The long distance is tough and dealing with that is always interesting, but it's all good."

He also explained that though both of them are busy and trying out new things, they keep enjoying life while they are still young and that "it's going well."

People was also able to get a word from him regarding their relationship while he was on his tour; he explained that while he was not an expert at making long-distance romances work, he was trying his best to be honest and keep communications open.

But last week, a source close to the former beauty queen told Us Weekly that her relationship with the crooner had been a bit "rocky."

She even hinted about her woes by citing Maya Angelou in a tweet, which read: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

The two have yet to officially comment on their recent breakup.
