LG G4 vs Sony Xperia Z4: Release Date, Specs, Features & Price Roundup [News & Rumors]

The LG G4 and the Sony Xperia Z4 are expected to be released this month and mobile users are eager to know more about their top-of-the-line features and specifications.

TechTimes said the Xperia Z4 will be hitting the market in Japan on April 20 while its LG counterpart will be available on April 28 as per iDigitalTimes.

What can the public look forward to in these two upcoming phone releases?

Display

The Xperia phablet device, according to TechTimes, will have a big display as it's been rumored to come in a 5.2-inch screen with full HD and QHD and will run in four Cortex-A53 cores and Snapdragon 801 SoC.

Meanwhile, iDigitalTimes said that based on rumors, the LG G4 could have a 5.5 inch QHD IPS 2560 x 1440p Quantum display with a Snapdragon 808 processor.

"Originally touted as its 'next flagship' phone, the 5.5-inch screen promises to be brighter and offer a wider color range than the screen found in its predecessor," added Cnet.

Camera

AndroidCommunity said the Sony phone is said to have a 5 megapixel front facing camera and 20.7 megapixel main camera.

On the other hand, the LG phone may arrive with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera as per iDigital Times.

Price

The LG G4 is expected to have a hefty price tag because of its features and LG G4 Updates said that the device may cost around $1000 because of its "QHD panel, powerful processor and robust camera."

The Z4 will not be any different after Xperia Z4 Update said that its price may be pegged between $1200 to $1300.

The Xperia smartphone tablet will also be a great device for music fanatics as TechTimes said that it will have stereo speakers at the top and bottom of the display.

Aside from this feature, the Z4 may sport a waterproof feature. "Supposedly the Xperia Z4 can survive being dropped in about 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes," added TechTimes.

"Sony Mobile is here to say, we are absolutely going to focus on delivering profitable growth," Sony marketing director Benelux Catherine Cherry was quoted by TechTimes as saying.

LG G4

According Cnet, this LG device will have a "vegetable-tanned leather cover." This was revealed on LG's Facebook page which posted a photo of the phone's back part and its leather cover.

The same report said that the photo was a match to the invitations they sent out for the launch of the device. Users can surely expect that this smartphone will also come in other leather color options.
