'Glee' Season 5 Episode 8 Spoilers: Lost Episode Features Rachel, Kurt and Santana Working as Santa's Elves [Video]

The New Directions became puppet masters and Pamela Lansbury channeled Madonna on the latest episode of "Glee."

At McKinley High, Blaine (Darren Criss) takes the lead when Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) doesn't show up for rehearsal. Yet, Blaine's bossiness is off-putting to the New Directions. Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) even quips that that it "Feels like North Korea up in here, Blaine Jong-il."

Blaine calls Kurt (Chris Colfer) to complain, but he agrees with the glee club, calling Blaine a "control freak puppet master." Later, Blaine sits next to a tainted air vent in the rehearsal room, which makes him so loopy that he imagines that his colleagues turned into singing puppets. He sings the Queen hit "You're My Best Friend" with the puppets.

Blaine then makes puppets for the whole class, and they perform a puppet rendition of Ylvis' viral mega-hit "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)".

Also, Sue (Jane Lynch) tries to get girly to land the principal job as well as her crush. She lands the principal title, but not the man.

Meanwhile, Marley (Melissa Benoist) tells Jake (Jacob Artist), who is making the rounds with the cheerleading squad, to get over himself. Jake and Marley then perform Jake's fantasy rendition of Janet Jackson's "Nasty." But he's snapped out of it when Bree (Erinn Westbrook) tells him that she's pregnant, which turns out to be a false alarm.

Jake then begs Marley for forgiveness, saying he wants to change. But it's too late—Marley is done with him.

In NYC, Kurt imagines Pamela Lansbury's first gig as one that involves the band performing Madonna's "Into the Groove" to a packed nightclub. In reality, only one person shows up, and that's because he thought Angela Lansbury was there to perform. Yet, the one person in the audience knows someone who works at trendy music hall in Williamsburg, and helps them land their first real gig.

The next episode, "Previously Unaired Christmas," is a "lost" holiday episode that Fox would not air last year.

The synopsis reads: "Sue Sylvester introduces the episode as a Christmas special that FOX did not allow to air last year, in which the members of New Directions audition for roles in McKinley's living Nativity Scene. Meanwhile, in New York, Rachel, Kurt, and Santana work as Santa's elves at a mall. "

When the show returns in 2014, Emma will soon make her last season five appearance. Jayma Mays said the episode will feature "good stuff" for her character.

"From what I understand, it's a really good episode for her and for Will," Mays said, "so they're telling me to be excited!"

Watch the promo below for "Previously Unaired Christmas," which airs Thursday, Dec. 5 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
