Cameron Diaz on Sex & Well-Being: 'Don't Deprive Yourself'

Even at 42, Cameron Diaz is considered one of Hollywood's sexiest women. In her recent cover of Cosmopolitan UK's "Love Your Body" issue, the actress revealed her age-defying secret: sex.

"It's something healthy that we need to be doing for many different reasons," Diaz said, talking about how a combination of diet, exercise, and sex helps her to stay fit and healthy, Us Weekly reported.

The "Annie" star, who married Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden in January, said that regular exercise is also excellent for maintaining a person's well-being.

"You have to just do it," she told the magazine, as quoted by Us Weekly. "Once you commit and really put in the effort, your body goes, 'Oh, it's not okay to be without this.' People say, 'My body rejects exercise.' No, it doesn't. Your mind rejects exercise. "

Diaz also talked about the importance of sex back in 2010, in an interview with British Vogue, the news outlet recalled. She revealed that "lots of water, lots of laughter," and "lots of sex" helped her attain "the fountain of youth," adding that sex is healthy and natural.

The actress, however, admitted that despite her healthy lifestyle, she also relaxes and indulges in food once in a while.

"Well-being is an equation," she explained, as reported by Us Weekly. "Remember, you don't have to have the whole cake, you can have a piece. Don't deprive yourself. Have fun. Just be self-aware. If your equation is 80 percent good, 20 percent bad most of the time, then a little movement toward the center isn't going to affect you much."

Diaz also blasted social media use in her interview with Cosmopolitan UK. The actress, who quit the Internet in 2014, thinks that "social media is a crazy-ass experiment on society," E! News noted.

She added, "The way people use it to get validation from a bunch of strangers is dangerous. What's the point?"

Diaz's marriage with Madden came after only less than a year of dating, according to a separate report from E! News. About 100 people, including Gwyneth Paltrow and producer Jeffrey Katzenberg, were invited in the ceremony held at the actress' home in Beverly Hills. Nicole Richie and Diaz's "Charlie's Angels" co-star Drew Barrymore served as bridesmaids.

Cameron as Worst Actress in the Razzies

Just recently, Diaz received the worst actress award at the Golden Raspberry Awards a.k.a. the Razzies for her performances in the comedy flicks "The Other Woman" and "Sex Tape," The Guardian wrote.

The modern-day remake of "Annie," which also stars Diaz as Miss Hannigan, "was named worst remake, rip-off or sequel," the news outlet noted.
