Santa Claus Gets Naughty, Banned From Shopping Mall After Groping Elf

Santa Claus always knows who’s been naughty or nice. With one false move, your Christmas could be ruined. He knows all and sees all. There’s no hiding. But while Santa is busy scrutinizing every little thing that we do, who’s monitoring his behavior? He may be a Saint, but even Santa is capable of behaving inappropriately. So what happens then? He faces the consequences. Sorry, but not even Santa is above the law.

A man who played Santa at Hanover Mall in Massachusetts is officially banned from the shopping center after he was charged with groping an 18-year-old woman working as an imaginary elf, Associated Press reports. Herbert Jones was released on $1,000 bail after pleading not guilty to indecent assault and battery. He is no longer welcome on the mall’s premises and is prohibited from playing Santa anywhere else pending the outcome of the case.

The woman called police Saturday to report that the 62-year-old Santa knock-off had pinched her buttocks and made suggestive comments to her while they were at work at a Santa photo booth, officials say. Jones denied to accusations to police and mall management.

It’s not even December and this particular Santa is putting a damper on the holiday cheer. Santa can determine who’s been naughty or nice, but that doesn't put him above the law, so please refrain from touching your elves.
