Nike Air Jordan VII Super Bowl Cleats for Seattle Seahawks' Earl Thomas Revealed!

Earl Thomas of the Seattle Seahawks will wear an exclusive release when he and his team attempt to defend their Super Bowl title this year, and the cleats come from a brand that is no stranger to repeat victories.

Daren Rovell of ESPN on Thursday tweeted about the cleats for Sunday's Super Bowl XLIX -- the same day the official photos were released, according to Sneaker Files.

"Debuting back in 1992 when Michael Jordan won his second championship, the Air Jordan VII makes its way back to one of professional sport's biggest stages this weekend," said Nike News.

Thomas will reportedly wear the same silhouette as he tries to duplicate the multiple championships of Jordan. The shoes use the action green-navy combo at the upper, with a chrome plate on the outsole.

The "Jordan Brand" name is stitched to the tongue, in its updated version. The number 23 is just under the heel tab. Thomas' logo can be found on the insoles.

"What really stood out to Nike with regard to earning the Jordan honor was that Thomas is competing not for a first ring but his second ... in a row," noted The Bleacher Report, mentioning that the 25-year-old's defensive skill is possibly the best in the league.

Thomas is a four-time All-Pro defensive back, it added.

According to Kicks on Fire, it is a pre-emptive move that might just pay off from the history perspective.

It said: "A true hallmark of sports greatness is winning multiple championships and these celebrate exactly that, the anniversary of Michael Jordan's second championship and hopefully Earl Thomas'."

So, it's about history repeating itself at the Universtiy of Phoenix Stadium.

However, Thomas will still emerge a winner even if the stars won't align against the New England Patriots.

"No matter the outcome of Super Bowl Sunday, there's already a Seahawks player who's already won," noted Complex.com. It's the safety's second year with Player Exclusives.

The Complex.com piece recalled that Thomas was gifted with a "Chrome Championship" pair, Air Jordan VI shoes with a silvery base, just after bringing home the Super Bowl.

Richard Sherman might be getting all the media attention, but Thomas certainly got the shoe brand's attention, said Stashed.

Kicks on Fire thinks the pair is "breathtaking" and "crafted to shine bright in the stadium lights." Commenters on Sole Collector have positive notes, too. HarshDesign said, "The 7 looks a lot better as cleats".

"Pretty cool shoe.. want em to win," said another commenter. However, another said, "These are sick; but I hope they don't repeat....Niner fan here."

Of course it won't be mass produced, the report revealed. The best bet to have it would be through charity bids. Be that as it may, we're hoping that the NFL won't be pulling the plug on the shoe. After all, it shows they're team colors.
