Rumors are circling that Russian model and actress Irina Shayk broke up with her boyfriend, football star Cristiano Ronaldo, because the latter hooked up with other women.

A DNA India report said that the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model informed a lot of sources that the Real Madrid player had other affairs during their five-year, long distance relationship. Earlier reports revealed that the couple split during New Year's Eve.

It was noted by DNA India that Ronaldo's alleged womanizing ways had been reported before, citing a rumor that linked him to Brazilian model Andressa Urach two years ago. He was also reportedly seen at a party with basketball player JR Smith in a beach full of bikini-clad women in Las Vegas while Shayk was promoting her movie "Hercules" which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

According to Page Six, Ronaldo denied involvement with other women as he reiterated that he was in a relationship with Shayk. However, Shayk failed to attend the 60th birthday celebration of the footballer's mother, fanning breakup rumors.

"She has been close with his family throughout the course of their relationship. Any negative rumors with regards to Irina and the Ronaldo family are completely false and have not been a factor in the cause of the spilt," Shayk's representative told Page Six.

Ronaldo's new lady?

Ronaldo's family in Portugal hopes that the athlete finds a woman who will love and respect him but did not discuss who he is currently seeing or if he and Shayk are still together, according to Daily Mail.

But as noted in the report, could Ronaldo be dating Real Madrid TV presenter Lucia Villalon now?

Aside from his personal issues, Daily Mail also touched on Ronaldo's frustration over Real Madrid's performance, especially on Saturday's game against Cordoba.

"Surprise surprise Ronaldo hates not winning. He was frustrated. He has scored against 27 of the 29 teams he has faced in Spain. Cordoba, along with Real Sociedad are the only one to have resisted him," Daily Mail added.

It was also reported that Ronaldo considered the most recent game "his worst" since he signed in 2009.

Cordoba's Edimar Fraga was a witness to Ronaldo's temper, when he was kicked by the Ballon d'Or winner.

"He had become a bit hot-headed because things were not working out for him. Things were not going right for the team and he had become a bit nervous because he wasn't able to do what he normally does. He crossed the line but it's gone and forgotten. I hope he gets just a normal ban and nothing more," Edimar was quoted by Daily Mail as saying.
