Rapper Rick Ross Gets Miami Heat Logo Inked on His Face

Miami Heat fan and rapper Rick Ross did something amazing for his favorite NBA team; he just got the Heat logo inked on his face.

An Instagram post of New Jersey tattoo shop, Unroyal Ink, showed Ross getting some additional tattoos on his body, including the flaming Miami Heat logo drawn on his right temple.

Yahoo Sports noted that this gesture was a way for Ross to express his undying support for the team which is clearly struggling this season.

"In such trying times, fans can either succumb to the reasons why their support for the hometown team might waver, or they can choose to double down and reaffirm their devotion in a major way. Let it never be said that Rick Ross is a fairweather fan," the report added.

The same article added that this is another bold move for the rapper and Maybach Music Group (MMG) mogul who already lost $100,000 after he proposed that the Heat will do better this season than LeBron James' new team, the Cleveland Cavaliers

"We most definitely finishing better than the Cavaliers. I'll put a 100 grand on that" (Miami is currently 15-20, while Cleveland is 19-16 - but who knows what will happen between now and April)," he was quoted by reports as saying.

In a similar article, MTV said that aside from the Heat logo, Ross also got the MMG logo tattooed on his hand. It also noted that his decision to have the Heat as part of his body inks is not "at all surprising", noting that he is a huge Miami sports fan. In fact, he is reportedly interested to buy a part of the Miami Dolphins.

Joining him on his tat adventure was fellow rapper Meek Mill who, according to HipHopDX, also stamped his allegiance to their label by having the MMG tattoo on his hand.

It was also discussed by TheBoomBox that getting the tattoos was a way to "solidify the two label owners' unbreakable bond."

"It also means that we will most likely hear Meek Mill's long-awaited second album, 'Dreams Worth More Than Money,' sometime in 2015. Last year, the album was delayed after the 'Amen' rapper was sentenced to five months in jail for violating his parole. Since his release, Meek has previewed a few songs from his upcoming album," TheBoomBox added in its article.

Many reports have indicated that showing support like this is really needed by the Heat as the team's current standing in the NBA isn't improving.

Tomorrow, they will be playing against the Portland Trailblazers after emerging from a four-game loss when they won against the New Jersey Nets on Monday.
