Anderson Silva Next Fight 2014 vs Nick Diaz: Broken Leg Fully Recovered? Watch Video Proof

It seems like Anderson Silva is prepared to take the Octagon again and face Nick Diaz in January after his gruesome leg break injury last year.

A video posted on his Instagram page showed the Brazilian fighter throwing low kicks on a bag during a practice session.

MMA Junkie said that based from the video, Silva's surgery-fixed leg has already healed, making him ready for his comeback fight. Late last year, the fighter snapped his leg in a rematch loss against Chris Weidman at UFC 168 but almost a year after, he has now regained his focus and drive to seal a victory against Silva.

It was observed by Bleacher Report that Silva "looked sharp and determined" in the training video he shared on his social media sites.

It has been noted in some reports that the rehabilitation and recovery from his injury has been very remarkable as it did not take him a year to bring back his strength and the ability to kick like he did before.

This positive development, however, was again put to test when he recently suffered a back pain which made his limbs almost numb. Bleacher Report added that Silva will be having his comeback fight after consecutive losses in his career while Diaz is also coming from from his retirement last year.

Prior to that, Diaz lost to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 158 in March last year and he was also outclassed by Carlos Condit at UFC 143.

This will also be the first time for Diaz to fight in the middleweight division against someone who has sealed victory against so many fighters in the said weight class.

Aside from this fact, Silva is also coming in healthy and prepared for the fight which he considers as his chance to redeem himself after the injury. He recently trained with UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones who has been rumored to fight him but cleared that he does not plan to fight Silva.

"I would never want to fight Anderson. Never. Ever," Jones said. "I just look up to him so much... Athletes of that caliber don't come around that often. I don't want to be the guy to beat him. Even though that's happened already, I wouldn't want to lose to him and I don't want to beat him," Jones told Fighters Only. The two fighters shared photographs of their training together last No. 17 in Las Vegas.

According to Fighters Only, the two have been rumored to fight for years with many considering it as a "dream match." The rumors died down when Silva lost twice, the second being his life-changing loss against Weidman.

But even after Silva's recovery, it can be said that rumors of the two fighting should be put to rest as Jones said.
