Bahrain vs. Yemen AFC Asian Cup 2015 Qualifier: Live Score, Preview, Prediction, Schedule 9:45 a.m. EST

By Staff Reporter| Nov 19, 2013

Bahrain will take on Yemen in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on Tuesday.

Bahrain has already qualified for the tournament and has 10 points in four matches with three wins, one draw and zero losses. The team has scored five goals and has not conceded one in that span. Bahrain took down Yemen 2-0 on the road in its opener and then defeated Qatar 1-0 in the follow up. In its third game, the team tied 1-1 with Malaysia on the road but it managed a 1-0 win over Malaysia in the rematch.

Yemen sits in last place in the group with zero points but has not been eliminated from contention yet. While the nation will not finish among the top two teams in the group, it can still finish in third place. The squad lost 2-0 against Bahrain in the opening qualifier before losing 2-1 against Malaysia. The third game was a 6-0 loss in Qatar but the rematch was an equally embarrassing 4-1 home loss.

Yemen must win in order to keep its hopes of qualification alive. A loss in this match would automatically eliminate the team from contention. A draw would also do the same. Yemen sits four points behind Malaysia and would be unable to finish with more than four points. Malaysia already has four goals and would only need a draw to clinch third place.

Prediction: Bahrain wins 5-0 at home.

Start Time: Kickoff begins at 9:45 a.m. EST
