Motorola users finally get an authentic taste of Android 5.0 Lollipop, thanks to the roll-out that arrived among Moto X and Moto G handsets.

According to Christian Today, Motorola announced through its official blog that the latest Android OS has come in select U.S. handsets, particularly to second-generation versions of Moto X Pure Edition, Moto G US GSM and Moto G Global SSM. A recent update said the company has indeed began rolling out Lollipop among Moto X units under Verizon.

In another blog post, Motorola informed prospects of its Cyber Monday second-gen Moto X offer. Accordingly, the model will retail off-contract from $359 on Dec. 1, 11 a.m. CST. That grants shoppers a $140 price cut -- but there's more.

A 30% discount may be availed on any accessory bought alongside the said Moto X. Verizon Wireless customers may get the device beginning from one cent. Here's how to get the deal according to The Official Motorola Blog:

1. Head over here on Dec. 1 for initial registration.

2. Code registration begins from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m .CST or until supplies last.

3. Wait for a confirmation email.

4. Receive and keep the unique promotional code for later.

5. Use the code after 14 days -- that's Dec. 15, Monday. Redeem until 11:59 p.m. CST.

Aside from the second-generation Moto X and Moto G, Motorola's current Lollipop upgrade plan includes the following handsets: first-generation Moto X and Moto G, Droid Turbo, Moto G 4G LTE, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, Droid Mini and Moto E. For the meantime, users of these models may manually check for an update by visiting their phone's Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Check Now.

An Android Central forum user placed his bet on Droid Turbo, "My prediction: it happens right before Black Friday."

Some Twitter users directly sought answers from Motorola. A user asked, "@Motorola Listen, I'm well aware you have no release dates, but could I at least get a rough estimate of when the Droid Maxx gets Lollipop?"

Android 5.0 Lollipop originally ships with Motorola's Nexus 6 and HTC's Nexus 9. It comes as an update to Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi and Cellular; 2012 and 2013), Nexus 10, LG G3, Nvidia Shield Tablet and Google Play Edition devices. It is also the likely OS for the rumored Samsung Galaxy S6 -- speculated to launch in March 2015.

Until then, prospects may want to visit the company's official software upgrade page for updates. The site appears to function as a tracking page with everything related to Lollipop.
