A screenshot of a vicious-looking dinosaur, allegedly from the official trailer of the fourth installment of the "Jurassic Park" movie franchise, has been circulating in various online outlets recently. Is it the real deal?

According to a report from Fashion & Style, it may not be. A bunch of netizens pointed out that the image came from Discovery Planet's 2003 documentary "Dinosaur Planet." Others say it's from History Channel's "Jurassic Fight Club." Whichever is true, it clearly suggests that fans will have to wait quite a long time to get a glimpse of the new dinosaur in town.

Release Date and Plot

"Jurassic World," which was based on Michael Crichton's bestselling sci-fi novel of the same name, will continue the story which first took place 22 years ago, according to Air Herald.

The fourth installment of the popular "Jurassic Park" franchise, titled "Jurassic World" is slated to be released in theaters on June 12, 2015. In a report by Master Herald, the movie will feature the Jurassic World theme park situated on the Isla Nublar originally shown in the previous "Jurassic Park" films. The dinosaurs have been brought back from the prehistoric era through cloning process, and are now attracting visitors worldwide.

However, scientists were forced to create a new hybrid dinosaur, the Diabolus Rex or D-Rex. The scientists then recombined the DNA strands of a snake, a T-Rex, a Velociraptor and a cuttlefish, resulting to a deadlier and intelligent dinosaur, Master Herald noted. The mutated dinosaurs escaped captivity and started wreaking havoc in the park.

Cinema Blend reports that the fourth film will be directed by Colin Trevorrow and will star "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor Chris Pratt. The cast also include Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, and Nick Robinson, among others.

When asked by fans if the fourth movie will revolve around "good" and "bad" dinosaurs, Trevorrow revealed that there is no such thing. According to Master Herald, the director put it as a clash between the "predator"and the "prey."

The trailer for the upcoming "Jurassic World" film will premiere on December 17 alongside "The Hobbit 3." The Epoch Times reports that the trailer was originally expected to be released this month, but was pushed back to accommodate the release of the sneak peak of "Furious 7."

Fans will have to wait until next month for the trailer of "Jurassic World." In the meantime, relive the thrilling moments of the third movie by watching the trailer below.
