'GTA 5' PS4, Xbox One & PC Release Date, Gameplay & Trailer: Launch Video Teaser Revealed; Heists DLC Arrives Soon

Rockstar Games has rolled out the PS4 and Xbox One launch trailer for "Grand Theft Auto 5."

The new trailer, just under a minute, reveals what the next generation "GTA 5" game has to offer. It showcases the upgrades Rockstar Games did for the PS4, Xbox One and PC version of the game.

In an interview with IGN, Rockstar Games art director Aaron Garbut said that the studio has spent more man-hours on the next generation version "than most games get from start to finish."

"On the art side we've taken another look at every asset in the game," he told IGN. "From additional dressing and detailing of the world, to looking at every prop and increasing their resolution, or even starting from scratch where appropriate."

The much-anticipated first person mode, exclusive to PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of "GTA 5," also took quite a lot of work. The new mode "gives players the chance to explore the world of Los Santos and Blaine County directly through the eyes of their character, revealing all the world's glorious details in an entirely new way," Rockstar Games said in an earlier post.

"The work for first-person pushed this even further, making us address areas we would not normally have reason to address," Garbut explained to IGN.

"Every weapon has been entirely redone with far, far more detail. Almost every animation has been redone. Every car has been modelled with a higher level of detail and a full interior and the world as a whole has had much more detail added."

With the launch trailer out a week before the "GTA 5" PS4 and Xbox One release date comes, gamers are almost ready -- if not for the still bleak "GTA" Online Heists DLC.

IGN's Ryan McCaffrey said that the update is coming, but no release date has been mentioned. "And as for the long-awaited Online Heists? Of course they're still coming (to all platforms), and 'soon,' Rockstar insists," he mentioned in his "GTA 5" early review piece for the 30-player online events.

Latin Times said that according to speculations, "the upcoming "GTA 5" 1.18 update is the Veterans Day DLC, which is expected to arrive on Tuesday, Nov. 11 in observance of the holiday. However, earlier reports also suggested that the 'GTA 5' Heist update would coincide with the release of 'GTA 5' for PS4 and Xbox One."

In the meantime, see the launch trailer below. "GTA V" launches Nov. 18 on the PS4 and Xbox One and Jan. 27, 2015 on PC.
