The animated films "Frozen" and "Rise of the Guardians" have both garnered wide appreciation from the public. Even though the two films came from different companies ("Frozen" is from Disney and "Rise of the Guardians" came from DreamWorks Animation), there is no doubt that there are similarities between the two movies.

Both their main characters -- Queen Elsa and Jack Frost -- can control the winter weather.

Fans of the movie noticed this too, and they have been adamant that the second movie of "Frozen" should also feature Jack Frost as Queen Elsa's love interest, at least according to KDrama Stars.

This even prompted a petition directed to Disney. The petition, published on Change.org, pointed out 10 reasons why a movie teaming up Queen Elsa and Jack Frost would work. The author stated that the two characters are "often pushed away by others and see themselves in a negative aspect" and that "they both [went] through great pain for their sibling."

It should be noted that Queen Elsa saved her sister Anna from dying, as did Jack Frost, who sacrificed his own life for his sister's.

As for the plot, the author of the petition stated that there are already great ideas online, courtesy of fans. In one plot, guardian Jack Frost could be watching over Queen Elsa as she grows up, or they could meet for the first time and discover that they are kindred souls.

Independent reported that the "Frozen" gang is set to return in 2015 in a short film spin-off titled "Frozen Fever." Disney has announced before that it has no plans of making a feature-length sequel for "Frozen."

That is because the company "has been incredibly stubborn about not making theatrical sequels to their theatrical animated hits," according to Forbes.

Forbes also reported that Disney aims to make a profit out of "Frozen" by producing merchandise based on the film. They will also incorporate the sisters Elsa and Anna into the Disney Princess brand and the company's theme parks, Forbes noted.

Digital Spy also added that publisher Random House plans to release four books next year that will continue Elsa and Anna's story. The first two books "Anna & Elsa #1: All Hail the Queen" and "Anna & Elsa #2: Memory and Magic" will follow the two sisters as they get to know each other better.

Independent reported the official synopsis for "Frozen Fever" as below.

"It's Anna's birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk."

The spin-off will also feature a new original song from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the duo behind the "Frozen" hit single "Let It Go."

Sadly, what Queen Elsa/Jack Frost team-up fans are dreaming of appears farfetched -- at least for now. But there's no stopping their imagine stories! Check out a fan-made video below.
