"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is set to "Wow" audiences by including the most amount of visual effects (VFX) of any Marvel movie yet.

The Hollywood Reporter indicates that per the studio's executive VP of Visual Effects and Postproduction Victoria Alonso, the "Avengers" sequel will top 3,000 VFX shots.

To put some perspective, the nearest amount of VFX shots was held by this year's "Guardians of the Galaxy," which clocked in at 2,750 while "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" was said to have over 2,500 shots.

In addition, Alonso also revealed that in order to ensure a diverse range of effects, the studio is working with various visual effects companies, somewhere between seven to 12 and they'll be from five to seven different countries.

She explained that there are advantages in working in multiple locations: "sometimes have ideas that we don't have. That's what we gain by being global." However, she did reveal that it "hurts me that families are displaced."

"I have a pretty good nose for BS, and when I find it, it's going to be a bad conversation," she warned when speaking about the honesty and integrity of their VFX vendors. "Sometimes, vendors cover their butts too much. I don't want to hear the excuses. If you don't have enough rendering power, just tell me. There's no issue that we can't fix together. Vendors are partners to me. I want to have open communication. The minute there are excuses and lies, it's over."

It's exciting to see how the team, that includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth will take on James Spader's Ultron with the help of 3,000 VFX shots.

ScreenRant wrote that the amount of the special effects isn't a big surprise; while it is the highest among all the movies released by Marvel, the VFX shorts are needed for the return of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and the Hulk expecially. Moreover, with the addition of other superheros like The Vision (Paul Bettany), Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Ultron (James Spader), there is a need for more VFX to illustrate their powers.

To date, no trailer has been released but we do know some information regarding the story plot. Entertainment Weekly revealed that in an effort to continue the fight against negative forces, Tony Stark/ Iron man created Ultron, an Iron Man-like artificial intelligence robot who ends up turning into a rebel that aims to destroy the human race.

"Ultron sees the big picture and he goes, 'Okay, we need radical change, which will be violent and appalling, in order to make everything better'; he's not just going 'Muhaha, soon I'll rule!'" quoted EW of film director Joss Whedon.

"He's on a mission," explained the filmmaker. "He wants to save us."

Catch the movie when it hits theaters May 1, 2015.
