The hit pilot episode of "The Walking Dead" season five is not stopping showrunners and writers from thrilling fans. This time, the show is allegedly getting a new cast member.

According to Screenrant, actor Seth Gilliam has been confirmed to play a new character called Father Gabriel Stokes.

With Robert Kirkman a huge fan of the HBO show "The Wire," it is not unlikely that he would get actors from it to include in the AMC TV adaptation. In fact, the characters of Tyreese and Bob are already played by "The Wire" cast Chad Coleman and Lawrence Gilliard Jr. And now, Gilliam is also coming on board as first reported by THR.

However, the growing cast of the zombie apocalypse-themed show does not end there.

Deadline reports that actress Alexandra Breckenridge will star in the fifth season of the zombie series and may even be a regular of the show.

Other details about her character remain confidential except that she is to play a strong and attractive young mother who has a weak side despite her being talented. Rumors suggest that she'll play a character named Samantha but AMC has not yet confirmed the speculation.

IbTimes added that since there is no specific Samantha character mentioned in the book version, this could only mean that she is a new role to be portrayed in fifth season. According to the outlet, she could be Denise (a doctor), Olivia (red haired inventory manager) or Amber (one of the many wives of a villain called Negan).

All of the speculated Breckenridge characters are part of a community called Alexandria Safe-Zone which is predicted to be the next location of Rick and the gang.

The 32-year-old American actress made an appearance as the house maid Moira in season one of "American Horror Story" and also as a witch in the third season of the show. She also appeared for a guest role in "True Blood" as Katerina Pelham and did several voice characters for the animated series the "Family Guy."
