Disney Infinity has been one of the surprise hits of 2013, as the video game and toy line has proved to be very popular with young children as well as older video game players who take advantage of the sandbox creation mode found within the game. Disney has released many new characters and figures to expand the roster of the game, and in time for the holiday shopping season here is a guide to the new characters that fans can buy for the game.

While some toys for the game do not have release dates set, others have been confirmed for certain days, as well as what stores they may be exclusively sold at. One example is Wreck-It-Ralph, which will be released as a Best Buy exclusive on Nov. 22, according to IGN. The character will be only available in the Toy Box mode. Another character from that movie, Vanellope, is rumored to be coming to the game, but no release date is set for the figure. There are also rumors of a Wreck-It-Ralph Toy Box Set featuring both characters that will be released at some point.

Frozen, the upcoming movie being produced by Disney, will also have a Toy Box pack to promote the film which will feature the characters Anna and Elsa as well as two power disks. This pack is set to be released on Nov. 26. The characters are also expected to get an individual release at some point. Both characters are exclusive to the Toy Box mode.

While some characters have been confirmed for the game, they do not have release dates as of yet. One of these is Agent P, or Perry the Platypus, who will be found in the Toy Box mode only. Phineas from "Phineas and Ferb" is also expected to grace Toy Box mode at some point. Rapunzel is also expected to be released at some point, and it is rumored that the character will be packaged with Vanellope and Violet from "The Incredibles" as the so-called Girl Power pack. Finally Mickey Mouse in his Sorcerer's Apprentice costume is confirmed for the game, and the figurine is rumored to be released at some point, with January being a possible release window.

It will be interesting what other franchises Disney chooses to put into Disney Infinity, along with what sort of packages they will group figures into. While there are many figures coming to the Toy Box mode, it is unclear what new Play Sets will be added to the game in the future.
