Ray Allen is still a free agent. There is no official word on his rumored signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, therefore, the cager remains free from any team affiliation, Fox Sports learned on Tuesday.

Twitter has recently exploded with news that Allen has reached an agreement with the team.

According to Factory of Sadness, the 6'5" shooting guard's name has floated as a possible addition to the already Super Team, with him reportedly wanting to play alongside LeBron James again, otherwise he would hang his jersey.

Today, Twitter came out with several confirmations that the Allen transfer was a "done deal." Factory of Sadness quoted a tweet by Glenn Moore as saying.

Allen, 39, seemed like the logical next step when James took with him Mike Miller and James Jones, it added. Allen waited through summer and training camp, as the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat expressed interest.

The player said in August that he would most likely make a decision in September, Fox Sports noted, but if he has reached one, there still is no official update.

Allen's camp and Cavs general manager David Griffin have been in talks, the report said. Griffin had also said the 18-year veteran would be an interesting member, especially since James wanted him to join the team.

"He knows we'd love to have him here," Jones, Cavs guard, said of his close friend, as quoted by Fox Sports. Over the last season, it reported, Allen racked up 9.6 points with 44 percent shooting in 73 games with the Heat, sliding down slightly to 9.3 points and 41 percent shooting in 20 games in the playoffs.

Despite his limited time on the floor and the decline in the speed department, Allen is still among the greatest three-point shooters in the league and still goes to shot fakes, Factory of Sadness said. He can also convert shots from the right corner, a problem area for many shooters.

Still according to the report, he is a good pair for Matthew Dellavedova, a limited shooter. He can also share the floor with Miller.

"To continue playing, really, the only argument is I can because I'm in great shape ... but just because you can doesn't mean you have to," Allen told the Hartford Courant back in August. "Many people ... have lobbied for me to continue to play."

He added: "My argument for not playing is, I have done a significant amount in my career and I appreciate everything that has come my way and as I've gotten older, I'm 39, there are so many things in life I want to be able to do to affect change-like being around kids full time, which I enjoy."

However, there's no dilemma, Factory of Sadness believes. The Cavs are going to Brazil and Allen might not head for the court in the first pre-season game so the delay has legitimate reason, it said.
