If you're on a tight budget, Nokia has prepared something for you. Announced by the Finnish multinational corporation at the IFA Berlin 2014, Lumia 830 is the "affordable flagship."

No more to expensive smart brands as the company takes on the other side of exclusive offering. This time, Nokia lands on the cheaper scale.

TechRadar commented, "It's no surprise that Microsoft has dedicated a large part of its press conference to that snapper, making direct swipes at Apple's and Samsung's own phone camera offerings."

How affordable is the Lumia 830, then?

Mashable reported about the price of the new flagship (as 930 is technically the original) to be 330 euros in Europe, while the US pricing is not known to anybody yet. The source added:

"The pricing here is so important that it requires another word - Nokia claims that this is the price point which makes this device more desirable than Apple and Samsung's flagship device."

On the other hand, Reuters specified, "The new Lumia will sell globally at a price of around 330 euros ($433), before taxes, or upward of 400 euros ($525) in all".

But, does Nokia really have what it takes to make it big this time? Reuters stated that Google Android phones acquired a market share of 85%, while Apple's iPhone had 11.9% from 13.4% the previous year.

In addition, the source said "the market leader among Android-based phone makers and in smartphones overall", Samsung, had a market share of 25.2% below previous year's 32.6%. Apparently, these figures can change now that Nokia seems to be more promising than before.

With a cheaper price, what will the new smartphone in the Lumia line offer? Mashable noted:

"It's powered by a quad-core Snapdragon and Windows Phone 8.1. The device has a 5-inch screen, it's 8.5mm thin, weighs 150 grams, and has a 2,220mAh battery."

The source points out that 830's most important feature could be the 10-megapixel PureView sensor with Zeiss optics. This is Nokia's thinnest optical stabilization module to date.

TechRadar specified that the processor is a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon, and that the "relatively low" memory that is 16GB can be supplemented by a 128GB microSD card.

Meanwhile, the battery has a standy time of 22 days, and is compatible with Nokia's "charging plate." The charging plate is noted to be capable of recharging the battery by simply placing the phone on it.

The Nokia 830, along with 735 and 730, will be out this year. Find out more about the affordable flagship here.
