The singer has been reported to take the adviser role in the upcoming season but a new rumor suggests that she's eyeing another position.

Hollywood Life reported that the "Shake It Off" singer wants to be one of the judges of "The Voice" after having been reportedly confirmed to take the adviser's seat. The outlet's source revealed:

"In a future season of the show, the producers are talking to her to become an actual judge on the show when any of the other judges need to take time off. It is all on the table!"

Though news of Taylor taking the spinning red chair's seat is not yet confirmed, the singer has reportedly signed on to be the adviser of all four teams. She will be filling in the role of Coldplay's Chris Martin who served as "The Voice" season 6 contestants' adviser across teams.

Taylor will be working closely with each of the four team's advisers. Veteran coach Adam Levine got Stevie Wonder for his team while country music singer Blake Shelton summoned Little Big Things for the adviser role.

Gwen Stefani got hubby Gavin Rossdale to guide her team. On the other hand, "Happy" singer Pharrell Williams turned to R&B singer, Alicia Keys. Gwen and Pharrell will replace Usher and Christina Aguilera who coached their respective teams last season.

The young singer will have to collaborate with the said team advisers, coaches and contestants but it seems that it won't be a problem. Us Weekly's source gushed about Taylor and how she did with "The Voice" contestants.

"Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with," Us Weekly's unnamed source said. "She had great feedback for all the contestants. She made for an amazing mentor."

This isn't the first time that the singer graced "The Voice." Back in season 4, Taylor paid one of the show's contestants, Michelle Chamuel, a visit. The cameo appearance totally surprised the contestant who was rehearsing one of Taylor's hit songs, "I Knew You Were Trouble."

The country music singer also performed on stage during the show's season 4 run.

"The Voice" returns with a fresh new set of talents when it airs for the seventh season on September 22, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC. Taylor won't necessarily come out on episode one but give fans can expect her to make news when she releases her new "1989" pop album on October 27.
