News reports reveal that the iPhone 6 may have a secret feature that's only being discovered now.

According to Chinese site Laoyaoba through GforGames, the next-generation iPhone is going to include a tactile vibration motor, aka haptic feedback, that can give users the ability to control vibration based on different app scenarios.

BGR estimates that the said motor could cost two to three times more than the regular vibration motor found on the iPhone 5S. Presently, the motor being used by Apple devices is pegged at $0.60 per piece.

This clever little feature, being termed as a "secret weapon," is great for touch screen displays because of the tactile feedback that you feel when you have notifications and when you type. It'll give it a more genuine feel rather than the user just tapping on glass, noted the Business Insider

The site further writes, "Most Android phones already have haptic feedback. Apple's would differ, however, in that the iPhone 6's display would supposedly be able to offer different types of subtle vibrations when touching different areas of the screen."

"It's unclear exactly how this would work, but it presumably means that vibrations could change in duration or strength depending on what you're touching," continues the site.

Aside from enhancing user experience, the motor can also result in better games and applications as developers will have an additional feature that can be integrated into apps.

Apple has been noted to have filed for patents for haptic feedback mechanisms and "A patent awarded on February 19, 2013 (filed on July 17, 2009) and called 'Method and apparatus for localization of haptic feedback' describes a technology that would allow Apple to provide localized tactile feedback to iPhone users," BGR noted.

The iPhone 6 is widely expected to be released in two models, a 4.7-inch display and a larger 5.5-inches that is said to be released mid-September, specifically Sept. 19 or Sept. 25. The iPhone 6 is claimed to sport a thinner and slimmer design along with a much faster quad-core 64-bit A8 processor, enhanced display and resolution specs and optical image stabilization and Touch ID sensor.

Aside from the iPhone 6, Apple is also widely rumored to be releasing its first-generation iWatch, its first dive into wearable technology that will be greatly integrated to iOS-based devices, improving usability and seamless connection among devices.
