Tennis player Venus Williams showed fans and the whole world who are watching Wimbledon second round that she is not ready to go home yet. The older sister of another tennis superstar, Serena, claimed victory against Japan's Kurumi Nara with a 7-6, 6-1 results.

The 34-year-old player who has also won seven major titles has proven once again that she still has what it takes to win a Wimbledon tournament.

"I don't like watching it on TV. I want to be out there. I'm not about the easy thing. Life is a challenge. For me, when I leave tennis, I want it to be on my own terms. I want to know that I rose to every challenge. I want to look back with no regrets," Williams told Fox Sports in an interview.

She also noted that the important thing in playing is giving your all and looking back with no regrets.

According to Fox Sports, Williams is a former world No. 1 who was diagnosed with an energy-sapping autoimmune disease in 2011. She was not able to join the Wimbledon last year because of a back injury.

On her match against Nara, Williams fell behind with a 3-0 standing, after which she was able to play her game and find a strategy throughout the match.

The 22-year-old Narra, after the game, told Fox Sports that the match was "very special" for her as she has been watching Williams play ever since she was a child.

Narra's sharing also prompted the media to ask Williams about how she feels, being the oldest woman contender in the Wimbledon this year. She said, "Wisdom has served me well. I've worn my sunscreen, so I haven't aged terribly. My knees are very tight, not saggy. And the crow's feet have been kept at bay. So I'll give myself an A-plus."

Czech Republic's Petra Kvitová also won in two sets against Mona Barthel. American player Sam Querrey, on the other hand, had to be stopped from playing against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga because of fading light.

Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic were also winners in the Wimbledon second round of eliminations.
