Indian bowler Stuart Binny landed a spot in the Top 10 bowling performances of all time after breaking Anil Kumble's 21-year-old record.

The Financial Express said that the player's brilliant performance helped India with its 2-0 win in the series. Bangladesh was at a 50-3 play when the game collapsed for them. The host team, according to Indian Express, lost seven wickets for eight runs.

Bangladesh top scorers Mithun Ali and Mushfiqur Rahim contributed double figures to the team but those were still not enough to match Binny and his team's determination to win.

"My strength is to bowl wicket-to-wicket and swing the ball. The conditions were ideal to bowl so I don't think I surprised myself but to be in the top-10 in the world is surprising," said Binny during his interview with the Financial Express. He added that his team never thought that they were "out of the game."

The Indian cricketer also noted that a chat with his teammaates during the break played an important role in their victory.

"We just knew if we got a few wickets up front and if they were three down in the first seven-eight overs, we could go through and push and get a victory," he added in the interview.

Binny, according to The Financial Express, said that the length that their Bangladesh opponents used gave them a cue. But he also recognized the efforts given by the players of the opposing team.

Based from a report from The Guardian, demolishing Bangladesh meant that India did not pay for the "poor battling" of the team who also struggled to keep their scores up despite the problem.

"Suresh Raina top-scored for the tourists with 27, with Robin Uthappa (14) and Cheteshwar Pujara (11) the only others to reach double figures," The Guardian added.

The same report noted that Ajinkya Rahane's opener went for a first-ball duck to their opponent which eventually became the first international scalp for Bangladesh.

The host team also fell short in their strategy and performance during the game as observed by The Guardian.

Aside from being placed in the list of best bowling figures in his country, the Karnataka all-rounder also gained recognition worldwide as one of the best bowlers though it still came as a big surprise for him. He noted though that he did not surprise himself with his performance because it was what he expected himself to do.

The Indian team has won the series sparing one final game which will played at Dhaka on the 19th.
