UFC 175 Fight Card, Date & Location: Weidman Up Against Machida in Main Event

UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman will go head to head against Japanese Brazilian fighter Lyoto Machida in the five-round main event set on July 4, to be hosted by UFC 175. 

Weidman has twice defeated former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and now aims to fight other contenders to defend his championship belt and prove his worth as an MMA fighter. According to Bleacher Report, Machida, on the other hand, has dropped to 185 pounds, noted to be a "spectacular" weight for him.

UFC fans and analysts look forward to the clash of the two fighters inside the ring. Bleacher Report noted that Machia vs Weidman is something that fans look forward to this year.

Fightline, in an online report, shared UFC's video promo for the big fight in July featuring Weidman and Machida.

With the title, "The Time Has Come," the video features the highlights of the careers of the two fighters who will go against each other: one to defend his belt and the other one to dethrone the champion.

Together with the promotional video, Fightline also released the list of coming fights for the UFC.

The tough match between Weidman and Machida is expected to bring out the diverse and technical skills of the latter which Weidman should meet with an equally strong or even better play, the Bleacher Report noted.

The same report explained that Machida has an edge when it comes to striking but that Weidman will outclass him with excellent grappling and submission skills.

But analysts reveal that Machida might have carefully studied the moves and play of Weidman after his discussion with teammate Silva. He will come totally prepared for this battle.
