Ana Bárbara Celebrates 20-Year Career: See Her Career Highlights

This past weekend, Ana Bárbara celebrated her 20-year career by putting on a show. At the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, she was joined by her close friend Marco Antonio Solis.

"You made my night Marco A. Solis," she said. "I'm very happy, excited and appreciative for so much."

Here are the best moments that have defined her career.

1. She became one of the most popular Grupero singers, and she has helped bring attention to the genre.

2. Ana Bárbara's debut album was released in 1994, and she gained international fame in 1996.

3. She became the Hispanic spokesperson for Coors Light in 1997. That same year she was crowned Queen at the Calle 8 Music Festival in Miami, Fla.

4. Her fifth studio album, which was released in 1999, marked her debut as a songwriter. She wrote "Tu Decisión."

5. In 2000, she became the first solo artist nominated for Best Grupero Performance at the Latin Grammys.

6. In the early 2000s, she decided to take more control of her music. She produced, composed, arranged and selected her own lyrics. She also produced the debut album for Los Elegidos in 2004.

7. She is one of two female artists who has won the Regional category at the Latin Grammys. She has also won four Premio Lo Nuestro awards, seven Premio Furia Musical awards and three Premio El Heraldo trophies.

8. She will be honored by the Las Vegas Walk of Stars in fall 2014.
