Although officials have confirmed that brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev were behind the Boston Marathon bombing last April, radio and TV personality Glenn Beck continues to accuse a Saudi Arabian man of having a connection to the attack. As a result, 20-year-old Abdulrahim Alharbi has filed a defamation and slander lawsuit against the conservative commentator for allegedly calling him a suspect in the bombing as well as ''the money man'' behind the attack on his radio show.

Alharbi filed a federal lawsuit in Boston on Friday, March 29, claiming that Beck's accusations that he was linked to the bombings have ''substantially and severely damaged" his reputation, reports the Associated Press.

In the lawsuit, the Boston college student says that he was injured in the bombings and points out that he was questioned and cleared by FBI authorities after they searched his apartment. Still, that has not stopped Beck and his network, TheBlaze, from falsely identifying Alharbi as a terrorist, reports Boston Magazine.

"Beck ... repeatedly questioned the motives of federal officials in failing to pursue or detain Alharbi and repeatedly and falsely accused Mr. Alharbi of being a criminal who had funded the attacks that took place at the Boston marathon," Alharbi's lawyers write in court filings, according to Politico. "Those statements were made widely and publicly. The statements were false and caused grave injury to the plaintiff."

"While the media continues to look at what the causes were of these two guys, there are, at this hour, three people involved in the bombings in Boston," Beck said. "The first one was caught on Monday, and we don't know at this point ... how he was involved. But we do know that he was involved. ... How many times does lightning has to strike in the first place for this guy to be at the scene of the crime and in the hospital and not involved?"

The suit is seeking damages and lawyers fees from Beck and TheBlaze.
