Barcelona is preparing to make blockbuster acquisitions this offseason, as they attempt to sign Chelsea's triumvirate of David Luiz, Ramires and Thibaut Courtois in a €100 million ($137,510,000) transfer bid, a source close to situation reported on Friday.

Trying to preserve its stranglehold on the upper echelon of the Spanish League, La Liga, Barcelona is gearing up to make splashy deals that would solidify the club's future. According to Caught Offside, the Spanish football powerhouse is trying to bring the three talented players currently signed to the second place English Premier club to Camp Nou next season.

"The Catalan giants are set to offload a number of players this summer as they look to finance big money moves and the La Liga side hope to lure three players from Stamford Bridge," reported Caught Offside.

Barca has been setting their sights on Courtois for a long time, especially after his emergence as a star for Atletico Madrid, where the goalkeeper has spent the last three seasons on loan. Football insiders believe that Courtois will be made available this summer because Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is content with Peter Cech as his best option as goaltender for his team.

"Jose Mourinho may be open to cashing in on Courtois as he continues to see Petr Cech as his undisputed number one starter and the fact that their young Belgian is still yet to play a single senior fixture for the West London club, almost three years since signing for Chelsea, would appear to suggest he is a player they can afford to consider offers for," reported Caught Offside.

Barcelona is also interested aquiring midfielder Ramires and Luiz, who could be tabbed to be long-time captain and Carles Puyol's replacement after announcing he would be leaving the club at the end of the season. Reports indicate that Mourinho might approve of letting Luiz join another club, but not Ramires, a veteran of more than 200 appearances for the Blues.

According to sources, Barcelona may put up a €100 million ($137,510,000) bid for Chelsea's trio during the upcoming offseason as part of their rebuilding process set to happen next season, as the team tries to keep pace with rivals Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid.
