Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant reportedly wants someone new to take over coaching the team after this season ends.

And it looks like Bryant will get what he wants. D'Antoni will likely not be back for the Lakers next season, Sporting News reported on Wednesday.

The Lakers' plan to pursue Carmelo Anthony is reportedly one of the reasons why D'Antoni will be fired after the season, but Sporting News indicated that Bryant is the main reason behind the impending coaching change.

"D'Antoni would be out, and that the Lakers' potential pursuit of free-agent Carmelo Anthony would be the reason. But multiple sources told Sporting News that the reason for D'Antoni's potential dismissal is closer to home-star guard Kobe Bryant," Sporting News reported. "Bryant, sources said, has 'no interest' in playing for D'Antoni next season, and wants a new coach in place for the 2014-15 season."

It should be noted that Bryant and D'Antoni have a close relationship, but the 35-year-old superstar has lost his patience with the team's lack of improvement over the past two seasons.

D'Antoni is only 62-74 since replacing Mike Brown as head coach in November 2012.

Bryant, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to his fractured knee, also took a swipe at the Lakers' front office, saying that the improvements should "start at the top," referring to team executives Jim and Jeannie Buss.

"I think we have to start at the top in terms of the culture of our team," Bryant said, ESPN Los Angeles reported. "What kind of culture do we want to have? What kind of system do we want to have? How do we want to play? It starts there and from there, you can start building out your team accordingly."

The 16-time All-Star also added that he has no patience for the Lakers' front office led by the Buss siblings and general manager Mitch Kupchak.

Bryant said that he is not interested in playing for a team that is in a rebuilding mode next season, which means that he is expecting drastic changes in the offseason to make the team a strong title contender.
