Sony has launched a new sale on the PlayStation Store that encourages users to buy multiplayer or co-op games to share the joy of gaming with a significant other on Valentine's Day weekend.

Similar to the sale Sony dished out to fans in January, the Valentine's Weekend sale offers users—with or without PlayStation Plus memberships—games ranging from 50 to 75 percent off their normal prices. The vast majority of games found in the sale are for the PlayStation 3, but there are a few games that also have the PlayStation 4 or Vita versions on sale as well. The sale will be in effect until Monday, Feb. 17.

Some downloadable-only PlayStation 3 classics are on sale through the Valentine's Day special. Castle Crashers, which is usually $14.99, is $3.49 during the sale. Fat Princess, one of the oldest but best multiplayer games available on the PlayStation Network, is $4.39 due to the sale, down from its normal $14.99 price tag. The House of the Dead Overkill: Extended Cut is also on sale. The game, which normally costs $19.99, is just $4.99 during the sale. Finally, the critically acclaimed retro brawler Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is part of the sale, at $2.49 instead of the regular $9.99.

Some more modern classics are also being given huge discounts during this Valentine's Day sale. Cloudberry Kingdom was $9.99, but PlayStation 3 fans can buy the game for a limited time for $2.49. Both Kane & Lynch: Dead Men and Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days are on sale, with Dead Men selling for $3.99 and Dog Days selling for $4.99. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale was $39.99 before the sale, but during the sale it is $9.99.

Meanwhile, there are also a few options for games on sale during the weekend on other consoles. Drivekick is available for the Vita as well as the PlayStation 3 for just $2.49; and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is on sale for the PlayStation 4 as well as the PlayStation 3 and Vita.
