Fans are now waiting for the return of "Mozart in the Jungle" as Amazon Prime extended the show for another season. The news was officially announced and confirmed on the show's official Twitter page on Tuesday.

"It's not over. #MozartinTheJungle will return for a new season," the post read. According to Latin Times, Jason Schwartzman expressed their gratitude, along with his two other executive producers Roman Coppola and Paul Weitz, for Amazon Prime letting them continue their play with Season 3. "We can't wait to follow our characters through the vast world of music, whether performing on a subway platform or in the grand concert halls of Europe," he said.

The Variety reported the Amazon Studios' head of half-hour series Joe Lewis explained that "Mozart in the Jungle" is full of artistry and energy that gives its viewers a different kind of television experience. He even boasted that their company is pleased to have "Mozart in the Jungle" and described it as the most "risky and enthralling comedy series on television today."

Moreover, the comedy-drama series is one of the first original hits of the internet video on demand (VOD) by Amazon. In fact, it has already won the "Golden Globe for Best Comedy, Musical TV Show" and its lead actor, Gael Garcia Bernal, won the "Best Actor in a Comedy Series."

"'Mozart in the Jungle is a show that has allowed me to enjoy and understand a little bit about classical music," the 37-year-old Mexican actor told Entertainment Weekly at the Golden Globes last month, as published by Coming Soon. He is playing the character of Rodrigo de Souza, the unconventional Latino "maestro," who's talking to the famous and historical composers inside his head.

Meanwhile, the musical TV show is actually inspired by the award-winning and critically acclaimed 2005 memoir of Blair Tindall, titled "Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music." The series has helped the New York Symphony come to life through passion and creativity, together with the addition of "mind games, politicking and survival instincts."

"Mozart in the Jungle" Season 3 also stars Saffron Burrows, Malcolm McDowell, Bernadette Peters, Hannah Dunne and Schwartzman. However, the released date of the show is not yet confirmed.

The first and second seasons of the show are now available to watch by for Prime members for free at Amazon Video app for TVs, connected devices like Fire TV and smartphones or via live streaming at Amazon.com/MozartintheJungle.
