The Golden State Warriors were recently involved in a three-team trade, but the emerging Western Conference power could enter in another deal involving two key players before the deadline.

Grantland reported that the Warriors are getting calls about the availability of Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes, but it is still unknown whether or not the Warriors are willing to part ways with either asset.

"Barnes and Thompson draw interest as trade chips all over the league, and Barnes hasn't met the organization's high expectations for him this season." Grantland reported.

The growing interest in Thompson is unsurprising, considering the way the third-year forward is playing this season.

Thompson is averaging 19.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game this season. The 23-year-old shooting guard, who is the second-leading scorer of the Warriors behind star point guard Stephen Curry, is also shooting 44.9 percent from the field and 41.0 percent from beyond the arc.

Thompson is definitely a huge asset for the Warriors moving forward, which makes it highly unlikely for Golden State to deal the former Washington State standout.

If the Warriors indeed trade one of them, it will likely be Barnes. As the report suggested, the second-year forward is becoming a disappointment this season. While he is averaging 11.3 points a game this year, sources said that the Warriors are losing their patience with the 21-year-old forward.

Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors Could Be In The Mix For Barnes

With the recent acquisition of Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks via a three-team trade with the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, the Warriors could be more than willing to trade Barnes now.

The Chicago Bulls are expected to be in the mix for Barnes since they have previously engaged in talks with the Warriors about a potential deal involving veteran point guard Kirk Hinrich.

Barnes would be a perfect fit for the Bulls, who recently traded veteran forward Luol Deng. However, the Warriors are expected to ask for another asset aside from Hinrich before agreeing to a deal.

On the other hand, the Warriors could also revive their talks with the Raptors about a potential trade for Kyle Lowry.

It is unclear as to whether or not the Raptors will be interested in Barnes because they already have DeMar DeRozan and Terrence Ross unless one of them will be included in the potential trade.
