Puerto Rican-Spanish singer Ricky Martin started the year with a bang in his home country as he showed off his body in sexy photos during a beach vacation.

Estilo said the "Livin La Vida Loca" singer looked better in the photos, one of which was taken with his son. He reportedly spent his vacation at his Puerto Rican mansion in Culebra where he donned swimwear which made a buzz on social media.

In addition, El Heraldo noted that the sultry and daring photos were a "great gift" to his fans.

According to Daily Mail, the photo sent pulses racing because of Martin's ripped torso and perfectly-shaped abs. It also noted that Martin showed off his tattoos while he posed by the poolside beside palm trees. He also shared on his Instagram page a photo of him and his son enjoying the New Year under the heat of the sun.

With the stunning beach photos of Martin, People noted that his workouts seem to be really paying off for the singer, who has achieved a buff physique.

It's been almost six years since Martin admitted that he was gay.

"I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am," the then 38-year-old singer announced, as per an earlier People report.

The "She Bangs" singer explained that his twin sons were his inspiration in being true to himself.

He noted that the years of silence and reflection made him a stronger person, and led him to accept his true self.

Last year, he admitted that he struggled with his identity, being a single parent and dating.

He added that he had "very handsome" suitors, but chose to prioritize raising his sons.

"We're all men. It's in our DNA to go for it. But I have two boys and I cannot bring different men every day into my house," he was quoted by Huffington Post as saying.

His last known relationship was with his longtime partner, Carlos Gonzales Abella, which ended in 2014. Despite heartbreak, Martin claimed that he is positive that he will marry someone, someday.

"I like to have a conversation, looking into someone's eyes and finding out their sense of humor. I'm not saying you have to be an Adonis, but you have to connect," the singer said of the qualities of a person he is looking for.
