There should have been a "Spoiler Alert!" warning, but the title gave it away.

Fans celebrate as a "Game of Thrones" teaser poster showed Kit Harington's Jon Snow alive for the next season. Not well, as he's sporting a bloodied look, but on the teaser poster, no less.

Producers can't be too cruel as to post him up close without giving him the slightest role for the sixth season, right? At least, that's what Entertainment Weekly wants to think.

The actor, producers, and all of HBO has insisted that Snow is dead as dead can be, but this teaser poster finally confirms what fans have been theorizing about since the end of the last season, and especially after Harington was seen on the Belfast set in full costume.

It is yet the first piece of marketing for next season, but the good news is that it looks like they're not planning on delaying the show: the poster also announced the premiere month, and it's still going to be premiering on April.

But what could bring Snow back to life?

Here are some theories as mentioned by Bustle (and by fans, who never gave up hope that he's alive):

  1. Jon Snow is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. Rhaegar is from fire and blood, which means that Jon couldn't burn in the fire (that the Night's Watch are sure to do, considering the presence of the White Walkers and Whights last season) and he may even be reborn from it.
  2. The Red Priestess will bring him back. Fans saw the followers of the Lord of Light bring people back from the dead (okay, so it was from a few seasons ago), which means that she may as well do that for him. Sure, she admitted that she never tried that before, but there's always a first time, right?
  3. The Return of Bran Stark can show a connection with Jon. In season 4, fans learned that Vran can warg into his direwolf, and another theory thinks Jon can do the same with Ghost. After learning from the powerful Three-Eyed Raven, Bran could find his way to his brother and use the connection to bring Jon back to life.

Of course, the showrunners and George RR Martin could totally do a flip and let Jon be dead, or they could bring him back to life in a totally unexpected way.

However they choose to let Jon Snow return to the world of Westeros, at least it's been confirmed that we can find out by April, at the latest.
