There are many reasons to champion either the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4, including just exactly which one is better for watching porn. Lucky for interested buyers between a hard place and a rock, SugarDVD CEO Jax Smith has just the answer.

"Simply put, the Xbox One is a gateway for porn of the future," Smith says. "The PS4 is pretty, but Xbox One allows for more seamless integration and a more interactive experience."

Rebecca Bolen, a representative for SugarDVD confirmed the diagnosis, telling Digital Trends, "The PS4 is great, but if we're purely talking adult content ... the Xbox One is superior."

SugarDVD, a company that is the largest online renter of adult DVDs, states that the Xbox One wins because it is positioned more as an all-in-one entertainment system while the PlayStation 4 is clearly geared towards more hardcore gamers. Xbox One users can use the "snap" feature, according to SugarDVD, to watch an adult DVD all while racing down the streets in Forza 5. Whether or not this is a popular way to use the device remains to be seen, but with all the streaming and gesture and camera capabilities of the new consoles, it shouldn't be too long before users get creative with the way they experience their porn.

Surprisingly, however, it looks like PlayStation 4 owners are viewing porn at a higher rate than Xbox One owners. SugarDVD data from December 2013 shows that three times as many PlayStation 4 owners signed up for SugarDVD than Xbox One owners. The PlayStation 4 has sold more than the Xbox One — 3.4 million to 2.4 million units, according to VGChartz — but it's hard to nail down exactly why SugarDVD is more popular with PlayStation 4 owners. Oh yeah, it might have something to do with the always-on, perpetual camera and motion sensor that we call Kinect.
