Daniel Craig suited up in true James Bond fashion during the regional premiere of the latest James Bond film, "Spectre" in Mexico City. The actor showed up in Mexico City on Nov. 1-2 for the Day of the Dead holiday. 

Some of the film's scenes were shot in Mexico City and the opening sequence featured a Day of the Dead Celebration complete with skull masks and skeleton costumes, a report with Fox News Latino says. Additionally, the latest Bond flick will also feature the first Mexican Bond girl played by Stephanie Sigman. The 28-year old said that the entire experience of being part of a Bond film was both an exhilarating and memorable one. 

"The scenes in the streets of Mexico City were just incredible," Sigman said in an interview with The Telegraph. The report also says that the 11-minute opening sequence to the involved 1,500 extras, it brought Mexico City to a halt, when helicopters swooped down from the sky and Daniel Craig's stunt double came hurtling above the Zocalo main square. 

Director Sam Mendes also said that Mexico City provided the perfect location for the Bond film because it provided the drama that he wanted to show in his film. 

"I wanted the audience to be dropped right into the middle of a very specific, very atmospheric and very rich environment," the Oscar-winning director said. 

Sigman also said that working with Daniel Craig was a delightful experience and that she learned so much from the British actor.

"It's great to show off my country's culture," Sigman said. "And working with Daniel was fantastic - I learnt so much from him."  

As for Craig's future with the Bond films, he made headlines last month when he said that he would "rather slash his wrists" than do another Bond film again. In an interview with Access Hollywood, the actors seem to have changed his mind. 

"I think that there is a possibility to do anything in these movies. I mean you have to just stick to the rule that it's a James Bond movie, but everything else is up for grabs," he said.

The actor first played the debonair agent in "Casino Royale" in 2006. Craig said that after nine years of playing the character, he says that Bond is an interesting character to play and while it is hard work playing the role, there is much pleasure to be derived from it.
