After the success of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" in 2011, fans of the game have long awaited for its successor. Now, it is rumored that the next instalment of the game will reportedly come four years from now.

That is still a long way to wait for the fans of Bethesda's action role-playing open world video game but it is expected to be worth the anticipation.

Crossmap suggested that the game's release could be as early as next year or could be pushed until 2019. Despite the lack of information on the upcoming game, the same report said that it can be confirmed that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is already "in the works."

It also noted that video game developer Ubisoft has already conducted a survey asking gamers if they are already looking forward to playing the upcoming game also called "Skyrim 2."

In an interview with Telegraph, Bethesda Softworks vice president of PR and marketing Pete Hines mentioned that they are already working on the new game but brushed off rumors on what story it will be based on.

"It's rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about 'when is Skyrim 2 coming out?' The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge. They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015,'" he added.

Hines noted that his company always try to make quality games and not publish to scale.

"Make sure everything we do is noteworthy. Our approach to that hasn't differed. Here and there we might change our approach to how it's presented but we've still stuck to who we are," he furthered.

Meanwhile, Yibada noted it could be highly probable that the "The Elder Scrolls 6" could indeed come by 2019 adding that if Bethesda really has the goal to have quality over quantity, then they may have to continue working for a few more years on the upcoming game.

""It's only natural that the time taken will be a couple of years for a new game to be released. Additionally, it is hoped that 'Elder Scrolls 6' will probably have a fewer bugs and glitches because of the long wait the gamers have to experience," added the same report.

On the other hand, Gaming Bolt said that fans of the game are expecting that it would have improved game mechanics during the matches and also added adventures.
