Lamar Odom's estranged wife Khloe Kardashian has ended her silence on social media, a week after the NBA player was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel.

In a recent post on her website, Kardashian said that it has been a gruelling week for her but said that the support of other people helped her survive the challenge.

"The past week has been incredibly difficult. I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made," wrote Kardashian.

She added that one can never prepare for such experience but said that the "outpouring prayers and well-wishes for Lamar" from their close friends and family did not make such a difficult undertaking.

"Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!" ended her statement.

Kardashian reportedly stayed beside Odom when he fought for his life, woke up from coma, underwent physical therapy and has recently been airlifted from a Las Vegas hospital to Los Angeles on Monday night.

According to CNN, Odom's family revealed that he has already taken a few steps when he arrived in Los Angeles saying that this is a miraculous progress considering his previous state.

The free agent's aunt, JaNean Mercer thanked all the medical personnel who took care of Odom when he was still in Las Vegas.

"As Lamar begins a new chapter in his road to recovery, PLEASE continue to uplift him and the family in prayer. He continues to make miraculous progress, taking a few steps in Los Angeles. We couldn't be more overjoyed! We realize Lamar's continued improvement will not be easy, however his unrelenting strength and faith in GOD will pull him through," the family's statement read.

On Tuesday last week, Odom was found lying inside inside a brothel room with liquid flowing from his mouth.

NBC News earlier said that Odom suffered brain damage with him being supported by a ventilator. A medical personnel reportedly said that he had "multiple drugs in his system."

Meanwhile, CNN reported that Odom also used cocaine over the weekend as per Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly.

According to TMZ, the NBA player took 10 Reload pills, known for its sexual enhancement effects, for three days. The FDA warned that the pill contains sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, which could react when taken with other prescription drugs and "may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels."
