Demi Lovato has joined Wilhelmina Models, one of the most well-known talent and model management agencies globally.

Wilhelmina Models will work with the "Confident" singer on modeling and endorsement deals in the fashion and beauty industries, as well as searching for editorial opportunities, according to a press release published on Global Newswire. Accompanying this release is a photo of Lovato.

"We are so thrilled to represent such a sophisticated, confident and talented woman, as Demi," said Alex Vaickus, CEO of Wilhelmina Models, as quoted in the press release. "She has proved that she is an accomplished singer and actress, and we look forward to seeing her success within the modeling realm."

Lovato, 23, is the latest addition to the modeling agency's talent roster, which includes Nick Jonas, Ellar Coltrane, Sydney Sierota, Robyn Lawley, Danielle Knudson, Soo Joo Park, Cindy Bruna, Armando Cabral, and RJ King, the news outlet listed.

"I'm thrilled to sign my first major modeling contract with Wilhelmina," said the former Disney darling, as quoted in the agency's press release. "I'm very excited to see where our work together will go creatively as I enter the next phase of my career and continue to develop as an artist."

Jose Covarrubias, Senior Model Manager at Wilhelmina Models, said that they are thrilled to have "such a phenomenal musical star with an editorially beautiful image on board" with them, adding that "not only is Demi immensely talented, she also has confidence, sophistication, maturity and body positivity that we will use to build her presence in the world of fashion," the press release further wrote.

Lovato's contract with Wilhelmina Models comes fresh after the release of her fifth studio album "Confident," which was released on Oct. 16 and showcased songs such as "Cool for the Summer," "Stone Cold," and "Kingdom Come." In an interview with Access Hollywood before the record's launch date, the songstress described her new music as honest, confident, and conveys "empowering messages."

Earlier in October, the pop star, who has been outspoken about her body image issues and eating disorders in the past, posed nude for an unretouched photo spread with Vanity Fair.

"The reason I decided to do this photo shoot was because when I think of confident I think of many things, but one thing in particular is feeling comfortable in your own skin," Lovato said of her photo shoot, as quoted by E! News. "I thought there was something incredible about the idea of no makeup whatsoever, no clothes and no retouching."

Adds the recording artist, the Vanity Fair photo shoot represents her newfound body confidence and her goal to inspire other women, E! News added.
