Samsung Z3 Tizen OS Phone to Sport Galaxy-like Design, See Price, Specs & Details

The Samsung Z3 phone was introduced by the Korean company in India saying that it will run in the Tizen OS.

Indian Express noted that handset will feature a 5-inch display with Super AMOLED panel and that it will have a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor.

Samsung fans can also expect that the Z3 will have 8GB of storage and 1GB RAM. "The device features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture lens. It sports a 5MP camera with wide angle selfie at front," Indian Express added.

There will also be a good options for users since the Z3 will be available in three colours - gold, silver and black.

In addition, FirstPost noted that the device will cost around $130 when it becomes available this month.

Another great feature of this Samsung device is that it has better selfie capabilities like the "Automatic Selfie" mode which can recognize faces, the "Beauty Face" which can edit faces to have flawless skin and the "Wide Selfie" mode for capturing group selfies.

It was also mentioned in the FirstPost report that it will come with a 2,600 mAh battery and the Samsung's Ultra Power Saving Mode.

As for the design, TechnoBuffalo said the look of the Z3 is much like the Galaxy Note 5 but fans said they could still be expecting a plastic handset rather than a metal one.

The Z3 will also reportedly have the so-called Ultra Data Saving Mode which will allow users to save on costs of their data use since it can "compress all incoming and outgoing Internet traffic."

FirstPost added that the handset will also come with the My Galaxy application which is said to be a great platform for consumer engagement.

"As consumers look for more relevance and personalization, it is our endeavor to give them what they want and put it together with great insight. Samsung Z3 is another step in this direction-loaded with My Galaxy, our new platform, which will not only deliver real & enduring value to consumers but also present an opportunity for the ecosystem to collaborate by leveraging consumer intelligence and technology," said IT & Mobile Samsung India vice president for marketing Asim Warsi.

Tizen, as per CNet, is the operating system which Samsung Electronics has developed to stop its dependence on Android and Google. Samsung CEO JK Shin said that they have great ambitions for Tizen.

"There are many convergences not only among IT gadgets, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, and cameras, but also among different industries like cars, bio or banks. Cross-convergence is the one [area] Samsung can do best since we do have various parts and finished products," Shin added.
