The latest flagship smartphones from Microsoft is ready to be introduced in the form of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. On October 6, the phones will finally be revealed to the world, and it's going to be so much more affordable than Apple Inc's latest releases.

According to Ecumenical News, there is no official word yet that the handsets will include accessories worth about $225, including a docking station for Continuum, a wireless Bluetoth speaker and a wireless charger, similar to the bundle offered with the release of the Lumia 930.

Here are the specs and features for the Lumia devices as reported by Tech Aeris:

The Lumia 950 will sport a 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 424 ppi. It will come with a Snapdragon 808 SoC that contains a 64-bit hexa-core processor and Adreno 418 graphics.

The phone's chipset is reported to support 3GB of RAM with a storage capacity of 32GB, extendable, as it will also carry a microSD slot. This is a plus, considering how Apple has refused to add SD slots to their phones, limiting their storage capacity significantly.

Most people use their phones to be linked to the world, so for social media enthusiasts, it comes as a good news that the Lumia 950 will sport a 20 MP camera, with a 5MP front snapper for selfies. It is also said to have a long lasting battery life with its 3,000 mAh removable battery. It also features Qi wireless charging and have a USB type-C connection.

For the Lumia 950 XL, the model is more of a phablet with its 5.7-inch screen, with a 1440 x 2560 pixel Quad HD resolution. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset with a 64-bit octa-core CPU and Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It will boast an internal memory of 21GB with a microSD slot to extend its memory capacity.

Other features of the Lumia 950 XL that separates it from the Lumia 950 are the Iris Scanner for Windows Hello and a 3,300 mAh removable battery.

Camera-wise, it will support the same hardware as the Lumia 950: 20MP rear camera with a 5MP front snapper for selfies.

As per usual, Microsoft refrained from confirming or denying these rumors, so until the official unveiling at the upcoming Windows 10 Devices event on October 6th, all these rumors should be taken lightly.

The release date is near though, so which model will you be sporting, the Lumia 950, or the larger 950 XL?
