Juan Manuel Marquez remained firm on his previous stance that he will not face Manny Pacquiao for the fifth time after scoring a sensational knockout win in their fourth bout.

Marquez, who knocked Pacquiao out cold in the sixth round of their showdown in December last year, is reportedly being offered a 50-50 split to face the Filipino boxing icon again, but the former four-division world champion did not budge.

The 40-year-old Mexican said that he is planning to fight twice in 2014 before hanging up his gloves, but he insisted that no amount of money can make him agree to the proposed "Pacquiao vs Marquez 5" showdown in April, saying that his knockout victory over Pacquiao settled the talks about who the better fighter is.

"The fifth fight is not going to happen," declared Marquez in a Boxingscene interview. "It's not even worth it because people are very happy with that knockout."

Instead, Marquez, who is eyeing a rematch with WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, said that Pacquiao should set his sights on Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Marquez said that he is hoping for a Pacquiao-Mayweather showdown because it is the fight the fans have wanted to see over the last few years.

"I hope they make the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. to erase any doubts on who would win," Marquez said. "I think it's going to be a great fight and the people will be very pleased because they won't be in suspense on what would have happened if these two fighters had faced each other."

However, the Mayweather vs Pacquiao bout, which is expected to break boxing pay-per-view records, may not happen at all because the undefeated Mayweather recently said that he will not do business with Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum, who promotes Pacquiao's fights.

"I will never do business with Bob Arum again in life, and Pacquiao is Bob Arum's fighter," Mayweather said in a Fighthype interview. "Bob Arum gives Pacquiao a date, whereas Floyd Mayweather gives Floyd Mayweather his own date. I will be fighting again in May and I will be fighting again in September. I'm gonna give you two reasons the Pacquiao fight is not going to happen. Like I said before, I will never do business with Bob Arum in life, but I don't wish him nothing bad. And I want to see Manny Pacquiao's real pay-per-view numbers."
