Victoria Justice is Cosmopolitan for Latinas' cover girl for its fall 2015 issue. In the accompanying interview for the magazine, the 22-year-old actress opened up about her post-Nickelodeon career and how she aims to stay true to herself in her journey.

"I never felt like I had anything to prove; I was just looking for the right next step in my career. A lot has to do with how I was raised; my mom is really involved in my life. And when I was on Nickelodeon I was very aware I had a responsibility to represent the brand. There were a lot of young girls looking up to me..." Justice told Cosmo for Latinas.

Nickelodeon's "Victorious," which wrapped up in 2013, was known as Justice's biggest break, Daily Mail wrote. Since then, the Puerto Rican actress starred in the 2012 film "Fun Size" and in TV roles such as the now cancelled "Eye Candy" from MTV, "iCarly," "Zoey 101," and in NBC's "Undateable," Variety listed.

As for her upcoming films, Justice is one of the leads in the indie romantic comedy "Naomi + Ely's No Kiss List" opposite her real-life boyfriend Pierson Fode premiering on Sept. 18. She also has a lead role in the comedy "The Outskirts" set to be released on Nov. 6, The Hollywood Reporter wrote.

When asked about her future as an actress, Justice mentioned other movie stars' footsteps that serve as her inspiration.

"I love comedy; I'm very goofy and spontaneous. I admire people like Kristen Wiig, who is hilarious but also does a lot of really cool films. I would love to have a career like hers. I also love Sandra Bullock; she's so endearing, smart, and funny and not afraid to throw herself into whatever role she's playing," Justice gushed, as reported by Cosmo for Latinas.

She also encouraged young girls to read more books, and mentioned other comediennes who motivate her.

"Educate yourself: Read up on current events and books. I love to read books by women I look up to who are smart, funny, and interesting, like Tina Fey's 'Bossypants' and Mindy Kaling's 'Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?'" Justice shared, as quoted by the magazine.

The brunette beauty's career seemed to be taking off steadily. Just recently, Justice reportedly sealed a talent deal with Fox and Twentieth Century Fox Television.

In the agreement, the production studio and TV network will develop joint projects and roles specifically for Justice, Variety reported. She is set to have guest appearances in existing series under Fox's and 20th's belts.
