Marvel fans are in for a treat as the studio is set to release an official guide book on the expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In line with the carefully unfolding world of Marvel comics, Marvel Entertainment Studios has finally created an official guide to the movies and TV series about heroes, villains and other characters in the Marvel world.

According to Comic Book, the company is set to release a "Guidebook" this October which would showcase movie-to-comic comparisons, 'fast facts' about the characters and images from the released and upcoming films.

News Rama describes this as the studio's way in allowing fans to dig deeper in the world to be introduced by Marvel.

Comic Book also revealed that this new merchandise would also give a carefully constructed account on the origins of each Marvel character any hardcore Marvel fan would love to have.

Meanwhile, Comic Vine described this as a 'completely overhauled' guidebook with "sleeker, slicker and jam-packed with information about the people, places and things across the entirety of the Marvel Cinematic Universe" compared to that of the previously released "Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe."

This series of guidebooks would be kicked off by the "Guidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- Marvel's Iron Man" set to hit the market in October, discussing how Tony Stark became the Armored Avenger.

Next is the flipbook format "Guidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- Marvel's Incredible Hulk/Marvel's Iron Man 2" arriving this November which covers the jade Goliath's gamma-powered film as well as the second "Iron Man" movie.

In addition to this exciting announcement, the studio has officially released an entire slideshow's worth of preview art of the two guidebooks.

Check out the awesome images here, here and here.

The guidebooks are written by Marvel co-creator Mike O'Sullivan and the ever-so-capable OHOTMU Team while the preview art were all created by Marvel artist Mike Del Mundo, with the second guidebook drawn with the aid of Pascal Campion's expert hands.

As expected, fans of the MCU lauded this revelation with some even noting that the studio should release more guidebooks in line with the films.

"I think instead of essentially rebooting the universe through line-wide events, Marvel and DC should just make a LOT more guidebooks. I know there are for the MCU, and they're probably great, but there should be more for the comic multiverses. There was that issue of Multiversity that essentially functioned as a New 52 multiverse guidebook, and I loved it," MattyDaveHalPeo wrote on the comments section of Comic Vine.

Commenter Goonage declared that he may purchase the guidebook about Hulk just for the cover art.
