Here are the mobile devices getting the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is set to have the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade.

Citing a report from GSM Arena, Christian Today reported that the latest version of Android Lollipop is going to roll out in European versions of the smartphone, specifically the variant which has the label SM-N910F. There are also expectations that the OS will head to Sweden, both over-the-air (OTA) and via Samsung KIES.

Christian Today also reported from Techno Buffalo that Poland consumers are getting the Galaxy Note 4's SM-N910C version, with an upgrade to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop set to be available soon as well. Samsung is said to release the OS to the rest of Europe's regions once Poland's is settled.

Some of the upgrades in the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop include a more powerful battery life, interface changes, a more stable performance, and an organized memory division, the news outlet wrote. However, the update doesn't come with a fix for the StageFright bug.

Those interested in downloading should keep a 50% charge on their smartphones and sufficient memory to accommodate the upgrade's 1.8GB size, Christian Today added.

OnePlus One

The 2014 flagship smartphone OnePlus One is also getting Cyanogen's official Android v12.1 Lollipop OS update.

Android Police reported that the update is 654MB in size and contains a lot of features, such as the StageFright bug fix. Other features include a smarter LiveDisplay, a new Boxer powered calendar and email, redesigned launcher, new AudioFX, a fresh Cyanogen browser, and more video and audio playback support.

Sony Xperia Z2

The Sony Xperia Z2 also has a new PureX series custom ROM created by Rajeev, a senior XDA Developer Forum member. The firmware is based on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and is "a de-bloated version, free of Sony's custom Xperia skin," International Business Times wrote.

Features incorporated in the custom ROM include a superuser Mod, Advanced power menu, an enabled call recording feature, and the latest NUT dual-recovery feature, the news outlet listed.

Other Android OS Updates

A preview and software development kit (SDK) of Google's Android M -- officially called Android 6.0 Marshmallow -- was made available to the current generation Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and Nexus Player devices, Gospel Herald reported.

Public rollouts for the OS is still unknown, but among those handsets receiving the firmware are made by Samsung, Motorola, LG, HTC, and Asus. These manufacturers have teamed up with Google to create present and previous Nexus models, the news outlet noted.
