Walt Disney Animation recently named Shakira as one of the voice casts of "Zootopia."

The Colombian singer joins Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman in the upcoming animated film, The Hollywood Reporter wrote. Byron Howard of "Tangled" and Rich Moore of "Wreck-It Ralph" are set to direct the flick from a script written by Jared Bush, who will also co-direct the project.

Shakira, 38, will voice a sultry character named Gazelle. The pop star tweeted a photo of the character on Saturday, Aug. 15. Check it out here.

"Zootopia" is set in "a modern mammal metropolis comprised of neighborhoods such as ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown," The Hollywood Reporter noted. Goodwin will provide her voice to a bunny named Judy Hopps, a "by-the-book meter maid with dreams of being a police officer," the news outlet added.

However, being the first female bunny in the police force proved to be difficult, and Judy had to form an unusual friendship with a cunning scam-artist fox named Nick Wilde (Bateman) to solve a mystery, The Hollywood Reporter wrote.

Aside from voicing Gazelle, Shakira will also record an all-original song titled "Try Everything" for the upcoming film. The track is written by singer-songwriter Sia and songwriting duo Stargate, ComicBook reported. "Zootopia" is slated for release in theaters on March 4, 2016, Entertainment Weekly wrote.

According to Moore, the movie is a story of two animals "who would naturally never hang out or like one another in the beginning, but over the course of the movie develop a relationship and become friends," USA Today noted. The filmmakers did a behavioral research for the metropolis setting of "Zootopia," and even studied an African safari for inspiration.

Goodwin said that the world of "Zootopia" is as "fully immersive" as Disneyland, adding that the upcoming movie is "begging for an entire division of the theme park," USA Today added.

Moore also explained that Goodwin provides a "very centered sweetness, tremendous heart and a great sense of humor," to Judy, but the character can be a ball of fire too if provoked, the news outlet added. Furthermore, the bunny doesn't like being called "cute."

Goodwin said that there are times that Judy gets "hoppity emotionally," and that she shouldn't be underestimated. As quoted by USA Today, the actress added, "People mistake kindness for naivete or stupidity, and she is a good girl through and through. But she's not a dumb bunny."
